Longing & Belonging

In collaboration with Full Circle Dance Company, NESSA created a custom collection of dance garments with movement in mind. The pieces will be debuted at the Full Circle Dance 2022 Showcase called HOME: Longing & Belonging.

The dance, choreographed by Donna Jacobs, sheds light on houselessness. These garments specifically do not reflect any tropes of the “homeless-core” aesthetic in the fashion world right now, which is characterized by battered, dirty clothing and flaunted by individuals typically far out of touch with actual houslessness.

Instead this collection focuses on the universal nature of denim, cargo pockets, and grace.
